Where is the load verification performed?

Load verification is the final quality control step in the outbound process to ensure shipment accuracy before it leaves the facility. This procedure is performed in the outbound staging area, where all picked and packed items for a specific order or destination are consolidated. Here, personnel verify that the products, quantities, and shipping labels match the customer's order and the shipping manifest. This final check prevents errors, reduces returns, and ensures customer satisfaction before the load is physically placed onto the transport vehicle.

A. Verification at the picker location confirms individual item accuracy during the picking process, not the final consolidated load.

C. The inbound staging area is used for receiving and verifying incoming materials from suppliers, not for outgoing customer shipments.

D. The repack area is a value-added station for activities like kitting or packaging, not the final checkpoint for a complete outbound load.
