What do you understand by Copado Functions Image?

A Copado Function Image is a self-contained, executable package of software that includes everything needed to run a function's script: code, a runtime, system tools, system libraries, and settings. It is essentially a container image (like a Docker image) that provides a consistent and isolated environment. This ensures that the function executes reliably, as all necessary applications, features, and libraries are pre-installed within the image, eliminating dependencies on the underlying host system.

A. A Function Image is the execution environment itself, not a "cloned feature," and its use is not restricted to sandboxes.

B. A Function Image can run any type of script, not just Apex tests, provided the necessary tools are installed in it.

C. This is too generic. A Function Image is a specific, technical component (the container image), not the overall configuration.

1. Copado Documentation, "Introduction to Copado Functions": This document states, "A function is a script that is executed on a Docker image with a specific tool installed." This confirms the image provides the necessary tools for execution.

2. Copado Documentation, "Function": In the description of the Function record fields, the "Image" field is defined as "The image is the Docker image where the function will be executed. This image must have all the required software to run the script." This directly supports the correct answer.

3. Copado Documentation, "Create a Function": The instructions for creating a function specify selecting an "Image" and note, "This image must have all the required software to run the script," reinforcing that the image is a container with pre-installed dependencies.
