What do you need to consider when evaluating MDM solutions?

When evaluating any third-party service, the pricing structure and subscription model are fundamental business considerations. For an MDM solution, this directly impacts the total cost of ownership (TCO) and budget allocation. An organization must assess whether the cost is per-device or per-user, the length of the subscription term, and what support levels are included. This ensures the chosen solution is financially viable and aligns with the organization's operational and strategic financial planning, making it a universal and critical evaluation criterion.

A. Support for watchOS is a specific technical requirement that is only relevant if an organization actually deploys and needs to manage Apple Watches.

C. A device’s life cycle and trade-in value are aspects of hardware asset management, not direct criteria for evaluating the MDM software solution itself.
