Which of the following registration information types are carried in an RRQ to register with the GK? (Choose all that apply.)

The H.323 Registration Request (RRQ) message is sent by an endpoint (e.g., a terminal or gateway) to a Gatekeeper (GK) to announce its presence and provide contact information. According to the ITU-T H.225.0 standard, which defines these messages, the RRQ must contain the endpoint's transport addresses for call signaling and RAS communication. A transport address is composed of an IP address and a port number. Additionally, the RRQ includes the endpoint's alias addresses, known as H.323 IDs (e.g., E.164 numbers or user@domain), which are used for addressing and call routing. This information allows the GK to map a user-friendly alias to a specific network address.

A. MAC address: This is a Layer 2 (Data Link) address. The H.323 registration process operates at higher layers (Application/Transport/Network), using IP addresses, not MAC addresses, for routing and identification.

"Endpoint Registration." This document describes the H.323 registration process where an endpoint sends an RRQ message to the Switch Centre (SC)

which acts as the Gatekeeper. The document confirms that the RRQ carries the endpoint's IP address

port number

and H.323 ID (alias address) to the GK.

" Section 7.9

"RegistrationRequest (RRQ) message." This international standard explicitly defines the RegistrationRequest message structure to include callSignalAddress and rasAddress (both of type TransportAddress

which contains IP and port information) and terminalAlias (of type AliasAddress

which represents the H.323 ID).

explaining that during registration

the endpoint sends an RRQ to the Gatekeeper containing its transport address (IP address + port) and alias address (H.323 ID) for address resolution.
