What is the 802.11 standard related to?

The IEEE 802.11 standard is a set of specifications for the physical (PHY) and media access control (MAC) layers for implementing wireless local area network (WLAN) computer communication. This family of standards is the technical foundation for products using the Wi-Fi brand. It defines how wireless clients and access points communicate over the air, including frequency bands, data rates, and transmission methods, making it the fundamental standard for wireless network communications.

A. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is a framework for managing digital certificates and public-key encryption; it is a security mechanism, not a wireless communication standard.

C. Packet-switching technology is a general method for data transmission over digital networks and is not exclusive to or defined by the 802.11 standard.

D. The OSI/ISO model is a conceptual framework that describes network functions. The 802.11 standard operates within this model's layers but is not the model itself.
