What is the shortcut key to insert a new worksheet in Excel?

Both Shift + F11 and Alt + Shift + F1 are officially documented keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft Excel to insert a new worksheet into the active workbook. These shortcuts add a new sheet to the left of the currently selected sheet tab. The shortcut Ctrl + N, listed as option C, performs a different function; it creates an entirely new, blank workbook file, not a new worksheet within the existing file. Therefore, options B and D are the correct answers to the question.

A. Ctrl + Shift + N: This shortcut is not a default command in Excel for inserting a new worksheet. It is commonly used in other applications, like creating a new folder in File Explorer.

C. Ctrl + N: This shortcut creates a new, blank workbook (a separate .xlsx file), not a new worksheet within the currently open workbook.
