What are 4 important Platform Capabilities offered by Anypoint Platform?

Anypoint Platform provides a comprehensive, unified solution for managing the full API lifecycle. The four capabilities listed in option C represent the core, high-level stages of this lifecycle.

1. API Design and Development: Creating reusable APIs and integrations using tools like Design Center and Anypoint Studio.

2. API Runtime Execution and Hosting: Deploying, running, and scaling APIs and integrations on various targets like CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or customer-hosted servers.

3. API Operations and Management: Securing, governing, and monitoring APIs in production using API Manager and Anypoint Monitoring.

4. API Consumer Engagement: Enabling discovery, learning, and collaboration through a central catalog like Anypoint Exchange, fostering reuse and consumption.

A. "API Invocation" is an action performed by a client application, not a core capability provided by the platform itself. The platform enables and manages invocations but does not perform them.

B. "API Versioning" and "API Deprecation" are specific features within the broader capability of "API Operations and Management," making this option too granular and incomplete.

D. This option omits the critical capabilities of "API Runtime Execution and Hosting" and "API Operations and Management," which are fundamental to making APIs available and governing them.

1. MuleSoft Official Documentation, "Introduction to Anypoint Platform": This document outlines the platform's components which map directly to the capabilities in the correct answer. It describes how the platform supports the entire lifecycle, from designing and building (Design Center, Studio) to deploying and managing (Runtime Manager, API Manager) and sharing for consumption (Anypoint Exchange).

2. MuleSoft Whitepaper, "Anypoint Platform Architecture: Application Networks": This architectural whitepaper details the platform's capabilities. Page 5 features a diagram, "Anypoint Platform: The Only Complete Platform for Building Application Networks," which visually organizes platform functions into pillars that align with Design, Development, Runtime, Management, and Engagement.

3. MuleSoft Official Documentation, "API Lifecycle Management": This section explicitly discusses the stages of the API lifecycle managed by the platform, including design, implementation, deployment, management, and retirement, which are encapsulated by the capabilities listed in the correct answer.
