What is a characteristic of a person with an entrepreneurial personality? Choose 1 answer

A core psychological characteristic frequently attributed to entrepreneurs is a high need for achievement, which is synonymous with a motivation to excel. This is an internal drive to pursue and attain challenging goals, overcome obstacles, and achieve success for its own sake. This trait, extensively researched by psychologist David McClelland, is considered a primary motivator that propels individuals to undertake the risks and efforts inherent in starting and managing a new venture. It is a personal, internal driver rather than a management style or practice.

B. "Opportunity tolerance" is not a standard term in entrepreneurship literature. The relevant traits are tolerance for ambiguity and risk, and alertness to opportunities.

C. Laissez-faire is a delegative, hands-off leadership style. It is not a universal personality trait of entrepreneurs, many of whom are highly hands-on.

D. Employee empowerment is a management practice or philosophy focused on delegating authority. It is a strategic choice, not an intrinsic personality trait.
