What is a feature of an RTS frame in the context of 802.11 frame types?

An RTS (Request-to-Send) control frame is transmitted by a station to reserve the medium before sending data. The receiving station answers with CTS, and all other stations update their NAV, preventing collisions on the channel.

A. Spectral mask defines transmit spectrum requirements, not an RTS function.

C. RTS does not provide roaming navigation information; NAV update is implicit via Duration field.

D. No frame compression is performed by RTS; it only contains control information.
