Salesforce releases an enhanced feed publisher component in the latest release of the Napili template. Universal Containers org is now on the latest…

The Feed Publisher component, in any of its forms, is a core element of Salesforce Chatter. Its availability within the Experience Builder is fundamentally dependent on Chatter being enabled at the organizational level. If Chatter is disabled, no feed-related or collaboration components will be available for use in any Experience Cloud site. This is the most foundational prerequisite that must be met before any other troubleshooting, such as template updates, can be effective. Therefore, the administrator's first action should be to ensure Chatter is enabled for the org.

A. Refresh the Salesforce component list In Community Builder: Refreshing the component list only reloads the current palette of available components. It cannot make a component appear if its underlying technology (Chatter) is disabled org-wide.
B. Upgrade the template to the latest version: While updating a template is necessary to access new features from a specific template release, this action is secondary. The component will not appear, even in an updated template, if the core Chatter feature is disabled.
D. Un-publish and republish the Napili template: This action pushes the currently saved configuration from the builder to the live site. It does not add new components to the builder's component palette or enable underlying features.

1. Salesforce Help - Chatter Requirements for External Users in Experience Cloud Sites: This document outlines the prerequisites for using Chatter in communities. It implicitly confirms that Chatter is the foundation for feed-based collaboration. While not stating "enable Chatter to see the component

" the entire functionality described relies on Chatter being active.

2. Salesforce Help - Enable Chatter Settings: "You can enable and disable Chatter for your entire organization... When you disable Chatter

users can’t see feeds or Chatter groups." This directly supports the explanation that if Chatter is disabled

feed-related components and functionality are unavailable across the org

including in Experience Builder. (See the section "Enable Chatter Settings").

3. Salesforce Help - Update Your Community to a New Template Version: This document describes the process of updating a template to get the "latest features." This confirms that option B is a valid action for a different scenario (accessing new template-specific features)

but it assumes all foundational prerequisites

like Chatter being enabled

are already met.
