Copado Extensions Custom Metadata Types can be defined as:

Copado Extensions are built upon a framework of Custom Metadata Types. These types, such as ExtensionConfigurationmdt, act as templates. By creating records of these metadata types, administrators and developers can declaratively add new functionalities like custom quality gates, deployment steps, or new tools to their Copado instance. This approach allows for significant customization and extension of the Copado platform without requiring custom Apex code, promoting a low-code, configuration-based model for extending DevOps processes.

A. A set of custom objects used to store logs from Copado jobs: This is incorrect. Logs are typically stored in the Resultc object and related records, not in extension-specific custom metadata types.

C. A library of pre-built Apex classes for common deployment tasks: This is incorrect. While Copado uses Apex, the extension framework's purpose is to allow configuration instead of writing new Apex classes.

D. A replacement for Salesforce's standard metadata API: This is incorrect. Copado Extensions leverage and orchestrate the standard metadata API; they do not replace it.
