What is a smart chip in Google Docs?

Smart chips in Google Docs are interactive elements that provide rich context and functionality directly within the document. By typing "@", users can insert smart chips for people, files, dates, and events. These chips act as dynamic links, allowing users to preview information, see contact details, or open linked files without leaving the document. They streamline workflows by integrating information from other Google Workspace apps, suchas Calendar and Drive, directly into the text. This feature enhances collaboration and information access, going beyond simple hyperlinks to external web pages.

B. Advanced formulas are a feature of Google Sheets, not Google Docs. Smart chips are for linking information, not performing calculations.

C. Text formatting tools (like bold, italics, or fonts) are separate from smart chips, which are about embedding dynamic content and links.

D. The commenting feature is a distinct tool for collaboration and feedback, separate from the function of inserting smart chips into the document's body.
