An enterprise system, often an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, is specifically designed to integrate core business processes across different departments into a single, unified software platform. By utilizing a central database, it allows functions like finance, human resources, manufacturing, and sales to share information and communicate seamlessly. This integration is fundamental to streamlining operations, eliminating data silos, and enabling coordinated decision-making throughout the organization, which directly aligns with the company's stated goal.

A. Project management: This software is tailored for managing the lifecycle of specific, discrete projects, not for integrating the ongoing, core operational processes of an entire company.

C. Transaction processing system: This system is focused on capturing and processing routine, high-volume operational data (e.g., sales orders, payroll) within a specific department, lacking the enterprise-wide integration capability.

D. Data analysis platform: This platform is used for business intelligence and reporting by analyzing historical and current data; it supports decision-making but does not manage or coordinate the underlying operational processes.
