How are IT and globallzatlon related?

Information Technology (IT) is a fundamental driver of modern globalization. Technologies such as the internet, cloud computing, and global communication networks eliminate geographical barriers, allowing businesses to operate on an international scale. IT enables companies to market their products to a worldwide audience, manage global supply chains, collaborate with international teams, and provide services to customers regardless of their location. This ability to operate and compete in a global marketplace is what is meant by "global reach."

A. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is a United States federal law and not a global standard, so the concept of "global HIPAA compliance" is incorrect.

C. The Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a specific technical standard for web servers to execute programs; it is not a broad framework that enables business globalization.

D. Tax havens are created by the legal and financial policies of specific jurisdictions, not by IT. While IT is used to manage finances, it is not the creator of these policies.
