What are two functions of the IT department within an organization? Choose 2 answers

The primary role of an Information Technology (IT) department is to manage and maintain the organization's technological infrastructure and support its users. This includes the development and maintenance of communication networks (e.g., LAN, WAN, internet access, email systems) to ensure reliable data flow and connectivity. Furthermore, a core, overarching function is to provide comprehensive support for all information technology needs, which encompasses everything from help desk services and device management to software administration and ensuring technology aligns with business objectives.

A. Advertising products or services is a core function of the Marketing department, not the IT department.

C. Setting priorities and allocating resources for product launches is a responsibility of executive leadership, product management, or a Project Management Office (PMO).
