How can you make sure that your workbook opens to the specific worksheet you choose?

Microsoft Excel is designed to save the current state of a workbook, which includes the worksheet that is currently active or in view. When the workbook is subsequently opened, Excel restores this last saved state, automatically displaying the worksheet that was active when the file was last saved and closed. This is the standard, built-in method for controlling the initial view of a workbook without using macros or special settings.

A. The right-click context menu for recent workbooks does not provide an option to select a specific sheet to open.

B. The Sheet List or sheet navigation controls are used for switching between worksheets after the workbook is already open.

C. The position or order of a worksheet in the tab list does not determine which sheet is displayed when the workbook opens.

" it states

"By default

an Excel workbook will open to the worksheet that was active when the workbook was last saved. To have a workbook open to a specific worksheet

you will need to make sure that worksheet is active when you save the workbook." (Document 99961

Excel Object Model Reference: The Workbook.ActiveSheet property represents the active sheet in the workbook. This property is part of the workbook's view settings that are saved with the file. When a user saves the workbook

the reference to the currently active sheet is stored

and this state is restored upon reopening. (See documentation for the ActiveSheet property in the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel namespace).
