Which type of file is the Sample Data Model file that supplies the tokens for job offer letters?

In Oracle Recruiting Cloud, job offer letters are generated using Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher. The process involves merging a data model with a report template. The data model defines the data structure and provides the data elements, known as tokens (e.g., candidate name, offer amount). The sample data model file provided by Oracle, which contains these tokens, is in XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format. This XML file serves as the data source that populates the placeholders in the report template.

A. SAML: Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an XML-based standard for identity federation and single sign-on (SSO), not for defining data models for document generation.

C. PDF: Portable Document Format (PDF) is a final output format for the generated job offer letter. It is the result of merging the data model and the template, not the data model itself.

D. RTF: Rich Text Format (RTF) is the file format used for the layout template of the job offer letter, which contains the static text and placeholders for the tokens.

Chapter: Job Offer Letter Templates

Section: Sample Job Offer Letter Template and Data Model.

The documentation states: "You can download a sample job offer letter template and a sample data model. The sample data model is an XML file that contains all the tokens available for job offer letters. The sample template is an RTF file that contains all the tokens." This directly confirms that the sample data model is an XML file.

Chapter: Create BI Publisher Report Data Models

Section: About Data Models.

This guide explains that a BI Publisher data model is an object that contains a set of instructions for BI Publisher to retrieve and structure data for a report. The output of the data set is described as XML

which is then used by the report layout. This establishes XML as the fundamental data structure for the process.
