Which is a function of strategic mapping software?

Strategic mapping software is a key tool within portfolio management, used to visually demonstrate and analyze the alignment between an organization's strategic objectives and its portfolio of programmes and projects. Its primary function is to link these change initiatives directly to the specific benefits and outcomes they are expected to deliver. This ensures that investment is directed towards the projects and programmes that contribute most effectively to achieving the organization's strategic goals, providing a clear line of sight from strategy to delivery.

A. This describes the function of a knowledge management system or a collaboration platform, which focuses on learning and communication rather than strategic alignment.

B. This is the primary function of Enterprise Architecture (EA) or Business Process Modelling (BPM) software, which focuses on operational structures, not strategic initiative alignment.

D. This describes a dedicated risk management tool or a module within a broader PPM suite. While related, it is a distinct function from strategic mapping.
