The design of a data center manager includes which of the following? (Select 3)

The design of a comprehensive data center manager is based on the industry-standard IT management framework of People, Process, and Technology. This holistic approach ensures that the management system is not only technically sound but also operationally effective and sustainable. "Appropriate tools" represents the Technology pillar, "Effective process methodology" represents the Process pillar, and "People enablement" (which includes skills, training, and roles) represents the People pillar. A successful design must integrate all three components.

A. Cost of tools: Cost is a business or financial constraint that influences the selection of specific tools during procurement, but it is not a fundamental component of the management system's architectural design itself.

1. Nokia Official Documentation: In the white paper "Automating telco cloud operations," Nokia emphasizes a holistic approach beyond just technology. It states, "True automation requires a holistic approach that addresses not only technology, but also people and processes. Without this, operators will not be able to achieve the full benefits of the cloud." This directly supports the inclusion of people (enablement), process (methodology), and technology (tools) as core design elements.

2. Academic Courseware: University programs on IT and systems management universally teach the People, Process, and Technology (PPT) framework as the foundation for designing and implementing any IT service, including data center management. The design phase must define the requirements and structure for all three areas.

3. Nokia Official Documentation: The Nokia CloudBand portfolio, a key component of Nokia's data center and NFV solutions, is designed to manage the lifecycle of services. Documentation for such platforms inherently covers the tools (the platform itself), the processes (e.g., VNF onboarding, lifecycle management workflows), and the people (operational roles and skills required), reinforcing that these are the core design considerations.
