The Uptime Institute introduced which important classification standard for data centres?

The Uptime Institute is a leading advisory organization focused on improving the performance, efficiency, and reliability of business-critical infrastructure. Its most significant and widely recognized contribution to the industry is the Tier Standard. This standard created the Tier I, II, III, and IV classifications, which provide a consistent and unbiased method for comparing the functionality, capacity, and expected availability (or "uptime") of different data centre facilities. The Tier I–IV rating system has become the de facto global standard for data centre reliability and resiliency, used by designers, builders, and owners to benchmark their facilities.

A. ISO 22301: This is an international standard for business continuity management systems, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

C. ANSI/TIA-942: This is a data centre infrastructure standard developed by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), not the Uptime Institute.

D. EN 50600: This is a European standard for data centre facilities and infrastructures, developed by CENELEC.
