Which standard provides a comprehensive framework covering mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems of a data centre?

The EN 50600 series is a European standard specifically developed to provide a holistic framework for the design, construction, and operation of data centres. It comprehensively addresses the physical infrastructure, including building construction, power distribution (electrical), environmental control (mechanical), and telecommunications cabling. This standard aims to create a common benchmark for data centre quality, availability, and energy efficiency across Europe, covering all critical systems in an integrated manner.

B. ISO/IEC 27002 provides guidelines for information security controls, not the physical mechanical and electrical infrastructure of a data centre.

C. ISO 22301 specifies requirements for a business continuity management system, focusing on organizational resilience rather than technical infrastructure design.

D. TIA-569 is a standard for telecommunications pathways and spaces in commercial buildings, a component of, but not a comprehensive framework for, all data centre systems.
