Which two standards focus on energy efficiency and sustainability in data centres?

ISO 50001 provides a universal framework for establishing an Energy Management System (EnMS) to continually improve energy performance, which is directly applicable to data centers seeking to reduce consumption and costs. The European standard EN 50600 is a holistic data center standard series with specific parts dedicated to resource efficiency. For instance, EN 50600-4-2 defines Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as a key performance indicator, directly addressing energy efficiency and promoting sustainable practices within the data center environment.

C. ISO 9001 is a standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), focusing on process consistency and customer satisfaction, not energy efficiency.

D. ANSI/TIA-569 is a standard for telecommunications pathways and spaces, defining physical routes for cabling, not energy management or sustainability.
