In what table are Change records stored?

In the ServiceNow platform's base system configuration for IT Service Management, all Change records, regardless of type (Normal, Standard, or Emergency), are stored in the "Change Request" table. The technical, or system, name for this table is [changerequest]. This table serves as the central repository for the entire Change Management lifecycle, extending the core Task [task] table to include fields specific to change processes.

A. Change [changetask]: This table stores Change Tasks, which are the individual work items assigned to fulfill a parent Change Request, not the main record itself.

B. Change Request [rfc]: While "RFC" stands for "Request for Change," [rfc] is not the standard system name for the Change Request table in modern ServiceNow instances.

D. Change [change]: This is not a valid table name for storing Change records in the base ServiceNow system. The naming convention is more specific.

E. Change [taskchange]: This is not a valid table name for storing Change records in the base ServiceNow system.

1. ServiceNow Product Documentation: "Change Management tables". This official document explicitly lists the key tables for the application. It states

"Change Request [changerequest]: Stores all change requests." This directly confirms the correct answer.
